Oswestry Tennis Club held their first social tournament of the year earlier in the month.
The weather was favourable and the turnout was very good with members enjoying some good tennis in a round robin format with mixed pairs playing each other until four finalists were determined.
This was played between one of the youngest and rising stars of the club, Alfie Edwards playing with Jeanne Craggs and Vincent Looijer-duPuis and his partner Denise Chetwood with the latter pair just edging it.
The next social tournament is planned for June 12 where the club would like to invite visitors to come along and join in as part of the Oswestry Community Games initiative.
