A LLANFYLLIN woman would not have died if she had not fallen while feeling ill, a coroner heard on Thursday.
Lily Beardmore, 85, from Llanfyllin, died on March 21 this year at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) where she was admitted following a fall.
Mrs Beardmore, who had been a housewife, had lived alone as her family lived away but her daughter took her on a small holiday.

However, she tested positive for Covid-19 by her carer and was eventually found on the floor after she fell and hurt her head.
She was taken to RSH where she deteriorated and died, surrounded by her family.
Reports submitted to John Ellery, Shropshire coroner, showed that Mrs Beardmore likely had pneumonia and would not have died if she had not fallen.
Mr Ellery recorded a conclusion of accidental death.
