Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Johnstown, Wrexham last week, where an 86-year-old man sadly died.

The collision happened shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 2nd on the High Street which involved a pedestrian and a red coloured Citroen C2.

North Wales Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses and are particularly keen on speaking to a man and a woman who were believed to be stood at the bus stop, situated outside the Premier Store on the High Street, around the time of the collision.

Sergeant Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are urging the pair, who were believed to be at the bus stop sometime between 7.20 and 7.30pm to contact us as they may have information that could assist us with our ongoing investigation.

“I am also urging anybody else who may have been in the vicinity of the High Street at the time and who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.

“Our thoughts remain with Mr George Ian Stevenson’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
