At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday (March 7), an inquest opening heard that Mr Stevenson, of Ffordd Pentre in Johnstown, but formerly of Whitehurst near Chirk, died as a result of severe chest injuries.

The hearing was told that Mr Stevenson waited more than three hours for an emergency ambulance to arrive.

He had been attended by off-duty paramedics, but they were under strict instruction not to move Mr Stevenson - who was fully concious but complaining of shoulder and chest pain.
