Tourism, traffic and taxis were among the issues raised with the leader of Shropshire Council when she spoke with members of the public in Ellesmere.
Many residents came to talk with Cllr Lezley Picton about issues which matter to them during her second Meet The Leader session at Our Space in Ellesmere.
Issues discussed included parking, tourism, the volume and type of traffic going through the town, lack of taxis and public transport during the night and its impact on the nighttime economy.
Cllr Picton said the session was useful.
She added: "Ellesmere is a fabulous town, and I was really pleased that I took the opportunity to have another walk around before the session started.
"I was delighted that people took time out of their busy day to come and talk to me.
"It was really, really useful and we came away with lots of things to think about and explore further.
"I will be talking with our other Cabinet Members about the issues raised and we’ll do all we can to make a difference.
"Everyone was so welcoming, and I could sense a real community spirit which was lovely.
"'Meet the Leader' is something I’ve just started to do and it’s proving to be a great way for me to get out into different communities and hear first-hand what really matters to you.
"We will confirm a new date in a different part of the county soon.
"I look forward to seeing you there."
Cllr Picton will be having sessions all over the county and residents will be able to talk directly with her.
The next session will take place soon but a date and time is yet to be confirmed.
