THE clean-up following flooding in Melverley is continuing on Thursday (Feb 22).
Shropshire Council has confirmed it will be sending in its highways and drainage teams today to assess the situation, as well as a skip to Melverley Village Hall and another to neighbouring Pentre for items to be disposed of.
Floodwaters continue to cause disruption after reaching record levels over Sunday and Monday when Storm Franklin hit the region.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Council said: "Our highways and drainage teams are heading to the village today to assess the situation.
"After a thorough inspection, road sweepers and cleaning teams will be requested.
"We are also sending a skip to Melverley Village Hall today, and one to Pentre."

Shropshire Council leader Lezley Picton visited the village on Tuesday to see the impact of the floods for herself and pledged to speak to the Environment Agency about the ongoing issue of floods in the area.
