CONNOR Bird came off the bench to inspire Llanidloes Town to a thrilling 6-3 win at Llanrhaeadr to book their place in the fifth round of the Central Wales Cup.

The villagers raced ahead at Tanllan with Matty Williams and Gwyn Davies netting before Andy Evans reduced the arrears before the break.

Luke Boundford levelled for the Daffodils on the hour but Williams restored Llanrhaeadr's lead with his second of the contest five minutes later.

Bird was introduced as a 75th minute substitute and levelled just two minutes later and completed his hat-trick within 10 minutes before the Daffodils were reduced to 10 men with the dismissal of George Clarke.

However Llanidloes had the final say of the afternoon with Elliot Jones completing the scoring as the Daffodils kept alive their cup bid.

Meanwhile Machynlleth prevailed 5-1 winners at Four Crosses in the Ardal North East League.

Callum Page fired Machynlleth into an eighth minute lead but the villagers hit back 10 minutes later with Ben Simms on target.

However Machynlleth regained their advantage before the break with Page completing his double before Dillon Browne added a third.

Page completed his hat-trick and Browne added his second of the match to settle the outcome after the break before Joe Clarke saw red for Crosses and Calum Humphreys and Dan Roberts were dismissed for the Maglonians.

Elsewhere Chirk AAA prevailed 2-1 winners at Welshpool Town with goals from Lewis Clamp and Tom Williams before James Clewlow reduced the arrears for the Lilywhites.

Meanwhile Kieran Mulloch netted twice as Bishop's Castle made light work of Llanfyllin Town in a 6-1 win at the Manor in MMP-NL Mid Wales League East.

Goals from Jack Mellor, Rhys Roberts, Martyn Ziemann and Alex Jones sealed the spoils with the Magpies reducing the arrears through Ceiriog Jeffreys.

Bow Street Reserves celebrated a 4-1 win at home to Four Crosses Reserves in the FAW Central Reserve League.

Llion Jenkins starred with a hat-trick while Steffan Richards completed the home side's tally while Max Thomas reduced the arrears.

Both sides ended with 10 men with Street substitute Dylan Tapp and Crosses captain David Lewis-Jones both seeing red late on.

Meanwhile William Roberts-Morris led Llangedwyn to a comfortable 6-0 derby win at home to Llanfyllin Town Reserves in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League.

Roberts-Morris struck four goals with Andrew Evans and Michael Kemble also on target for the Foxes.

Stanley Tatters gave the hosts an early lead before the Swans replied through Karl Bailey with Brian Burton restoring United's lead before the break.

Further goals from Niall Cope and Lewis Barker settled the outcome.

Meanwhile a Danny Barton double inspired Morda United to a 3-1 win at Shawbury United U23s with Ben Thompson completing the scoring for the Yellows in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier League.

Elsewhere a Matt Hardy injury time equaliser earned Gobowen Celtic a point in a 4-4 draw at Shrewsbury Up and Comers.

Ablay Sowe struck twice with Juan Finlow and Alex Herbert goals giving the hosts the lead but Celtic hit back with two goals from Luke Dwyer and Zahk Ward strike before Hardy snatched a last gasp leveller.

Meanwhile Joshua Davies scored the only goal of the game as St Martins Reserves beat Ercall Colts 1-0 in the first division.
