Caernarfon Town 0 TNS 4

TNS continued their relentless march toward the JD Cymru Premier title with a resounding victory at Caernarfon Town tonight.

Declan McManus fired wide as TNS began the match with intent before Blaine Hudson deflected a Mike Hayes shot around the post as Caernarfon threatened at the other end.

The match continued to be even early on with Hayes a threat for the Canaries while the Saints had strong appeals for a penalty rejected after 20 minutes when Ben Clark's rise appeared to strike a home arm in the area.

A minute later Sion Bradley broke to fire agonisingly wide as Caernarfon bid to make the most on their reprieve.

It was not to be and TNS led on 28 minutes with league top scorer McManus opening the scoring with a spectacular overhead kick after Danny Davies cushioned a cross from the right from Danny Redmond's midfield ball.

Danny Davies fired over from 20 yards while McManus was twice denied by home goalkeeper Tyler French, first with a back heel before being denied from the edge of the area.

TNS could not add to their tally before the break but continued to dominate in the second-half with Clark heading wide before Ryan Brobbel curled home a free-kick from the edge of the area shortly before the hour.

Ex-TNS midfielder Danny Gosset released Hayes who wasted a chance to reduce the arrears five minutes later and the Canaries would not get a better chance as TNS settled the outcome with two goals in the final 10 minutes.

Danny Davies rattled the woodwork after 78 minutes but two minutes later the Saints struck with Adrian Cieslewicz following up to net after McManus was denied by French.

The dust had barely settled when Jordan Williams headed home a fourth to complete the scoring as TNS toasted a comfortable win on the road.
