FIREFIGHTERS lent a literal hand of support to their fellow emergency services on Tuesday as they were called out to Oswestry.
One crew was dispatched from the town at around 3.10pm to Mount Crescent in Oswestry to assist ambulance staff in transporting a patient.
The firefighters were required to help the patient over uneven ground, and spent around 40 minutes at the scene.
