OSWESTRY firefighters were out in the early hours after a false alarm at one of the town's schools.
Two crews from the town's station – plus assistance from North Wales Fire Rescue – were sent to Oswestry School, in Upper Brook Street, at 12.40am after reports of a property fire.
However, with an operations officer in attendance, the incident was deemed a false alarm caused by steam from a vent.
Firefighters spent 30 minutes at the scene.
