AN UPDATE has been given on major railway works in Gobowen.
Network Rail is currently renewing the signalling system at the train station which has led to the main road and the station car park being closed from Wednesday until Monday, January 17.
The company's Wales and Borders team confirmed the work is going well and revealed pictures of what has been done so far.

What are the works for?
Network Rail confirmed last week that the work includes the installation of new level crossing operating equipment and supply of new cabling to the signal box.
They added: ""For safety purposes it has been agreed that the works will be completed using a full road closure and two-way temporary traffic signals."

When will the road reopen?
Although the road and car park will reopen on Monday, temporary traffic signals are expected to be in use on January 18 and 19.
While the road is closed traffic will be diverted via a signed diversion route and access will be maintained to properties at all times either side of the closure.
Below is a map of the diversion.
