PARKING spaces will be more limited in Llanfyllin as one of its car parks will be temporarily closed to accommodate coronavirus testing equipment.

Llanfyllin Town Council has announced a parking restriction notification via its Facebook page.

The notification concerns the bottom car park, near the wetlands, and will be in affect from January 4 to January 16.

Parking is temporarily prohibited there so the space can be used to accommodate a mobile testing unit for Covid-19.

The mobile units are designed to provide the community with wider accessibility to testing, allowing people to seek out a test for coronavirus if they are feeling unwell.

Testing teams are urging people to continue to their nearest testing unit if they become unwell with any of the classic signs and symptoms which are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste, or if generally feeling unwell.

Mobile testing is by appointment-only and provide a drive-through service.
