GOBOWEN'S Orthopaedic Hospital was caring for 12 patients with Covid-19, according to the latest figures released.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt (RJAH) Orthopaedic Hospital Trust was caring for the coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.
NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on Tuesday, January 4 was up from two on the same day the previous week.
There was one bed occupied by a Covid-19 patient four weeks ago at the RJAH
Across England there were 15,044 people in hospital with Covid as of January 4, with 797 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.
The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally has more than doubled in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has increased by one per cent.
The figures also show that nine new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the week to January 2.
This was up from two in the previous seven days.
