A TRIPLE Olympic champion is set to visit Oswestry next month.
Adrenaline Sporting Events – the company behind the Oswestry 10k and last year's Santa Run – will welcome Ed Clancy OBE for 'An Evening With' on Thursday, February 3 from 6.30pm
It will be held at Aico's base off Maesbury Road and provide an insight into his journey to win three Olympic gold medals, plus a question and answer session, and a chance to have photographs at the end.
Alan Lewis, founder of Adrenaline Sporting Events, said: "The evening with Ed Clancy OBE will give a great insight into the life of a triple Gold Olympic medalist.
"We will hear from Ed about his life from starting out on his BMX as a youngster through to becoming a gold medalist at three Olympics Games.
"It will be a fantastic evening and a great opportunity to hear the story of a true cycling great."
Clancy won consecutive gold medals in the Team Pursuit in the 2008 Beijing, 2012 London, and 2016 Rio Olympic Games
He was awarded an appointed an MBE in the 2009 New Year Honours and an OBE in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to cycling.
