STAFF at a local vaccination centre are marking one year since they began delivering Covid-19 vaccinations.
The centre at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Gobowen joined the nationwide effort to roll out Covid-19 vaccinations on Monday, January 4, 2020.
On that day they delivered 15 vaccines, but now they can deliver almost 1,000 a day.
Rebecca Warren, Clinical Lead for Vaccination NHS at the hospital took to Twitter to mark the anniversary and praised her team.
She said: "One year on! We gave our first Covid vaccination, that day we gave 15 vaccines and we thought we were heroes. Today we can give nearly 1,000.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported @RJAH_NHS vaccination centre.
"The team work has been immense and I am proud to be in this team."

The UK's vaccination programme launched in December 2020 with three vaccine in use, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna. It was quickly rolled out across the country with more age groups being added and was one of the fastest rollouts in the world.
A booster programme was launched in September 2021 to offer a third dose of vaccine.
