STAFF at Oswestry Leisure Centre have taken to social media to tell residents at town that its stock of lateral flow tests (LFT) has run out.

The centre, in Shrewsbury Road, is one of a number of venues in Oswestry that has been providing boxes of tests for people across the town.

However, one member of staff took the Ask Oswestry group to say that as of 1.26pm on Wednesday, the leisure centre had run out of all tests.

They said: "We have no lateral flow tests left at Oswestry Leisure Centre.

"It is 1.26pm and we have just given out the last box – thank you very much."

One social media user said they had tried to find tests at a number of venues, to no avail.

They said: "I’ve been to five different pharmacies, the library and the Oswestry Leisure Centre for Lateral Flow Tests and everyone at those five places have got none.

"We have two family members testing positive and one for the second time – they are going for PCR test but other family members need regular tests.

"And I’ve just gone on NHS ordering online and to my surprise they have ran out."
