PLANS to build a single-storey extension to house a biomass boiler at an Oswestry independent living complex have been given the go-ahead by Shropshire Council.
The plans for Viscount Bridgeman Court, off Queen Elizabeth Drive in Oswestry, were for a yard area close to the north wall of one building complex with one to three-bedroomed retirement flats.
In her report, Shropshire Council planning case officer Melanie Williams said there were no objections to he changes to the buildings to house the biomass boiler.
She said: "The proposal is considered to be acceptable within the context of the overall street scene and the proposed works are not considered to result in any significant implications for the residential amenity of existing properties.
"Therefore the scheme is deemed to comply with the relevant development plan policy framework."
