DRIVERS using the A483 and A5 will face as series of speed restrictions as the county comes to grips with the devastating winds of Storm Arwen.
With much of the stronger winds still to come, according to the Met Office, Traffic Wales has announced that there will be a 30mph speed restriction for the Halton and Gledrid bridges along the A483 and A5.
The restrictions for the viaducts, running from Chirk to outside Oswestry, will be in place until late on Sunday where it is expected Storm Arwen has moved away.
There is also a lane closure on the southbound A483 for much of Saturday while both viaducts were closed overnight.
Meanwhile, Chirk Castle will be closed all day Saturday because of the high winds.
