MEMBERS of Whittington and Oswestry Young Farmers’ Club hosted a fundraising bonfire night recently.

The event was supported by members, family and friends and was hosted by the Roberts Family, with donations from ABP, HJR Agri Ltd, Morgans of Oswestry, AJ Powercoating and the TG Group.

A post on the club’s Facebook page said: “We hope everyone that came enjoyed themselves as much as we as a club did. Thankyou for all the kind donations that we received.”

In the run-up to Christmas, the club will be hosting carol singing raising money for its three charities – the Lingen Davies Cancer Appeal, the Midlands Air Ambulance, and the The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).

They will also be supporting the annual Santa tour of Oswestry and surrounding villages, and taking part in a various social events.

Meanwhile, the theme for this year’s annual Dinner Dance has been revealed.

Members will dress up in their finery for the of ‘Field and Feathers’ when the event takes place on Friday, January 28, 2022.
