AN AIR ambulance was called to Oswestry on Wednesday afternoon following reports of a medical emergency in Black Gate Street.
Two land ambulances, a paramedic officer and the air ambulance were called to the incident, which was involved reports of a patient suffering a cardiac arrest.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said a patient was in a critical condition.
"We’re currently in attendance on Black Gate Street, Oswestry following reports of a patient in cardiac arrest," they said.
"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic are currently on scene treating a patient in a critical condition."
