TNS 6 Haverfordwest County 0

DECLAN McManus returned to the top of the JD Cymru Premier scoring charts as TNS celebrated their biggest win of the season so far.

Three goals in seven first-half minutes set Anthony Limbrick’s team on their way and maintained their seven point lead at the top of the table.

Both sides probed early on and few clear cut openings were carved until the 24th minute when Louis Robles tested goalkeeper Wojciech Gajda from 12 yards.

Gajda could do nothing to prevent the game’s first goal from arriving five minutes later with a great cross from Danny Redmond met by Ryan Brobbel to head home.

Three minutes later Brobbel turned provider for McManus who raced through to slot past Gajda.

McManus wasted no time in grabbing his second of the day on 36 minutes, seizing upon a defensive error to complete his double.

Following the restart, Brobbel continued to look lively, and almost added a fourth goal for the league leaders with a 51st minute free-kick.

Ten minutes later Redmond extended the TNS lead with a superb volley from just outside the box.

TNS continued to dominate and it was no surprise when McManus completed his hat-trick to celebrate his 12th goal of the season.

The visitors had the chance to score a late consolation in the 83rd minute only Ben Fawcett to blaze wide from distance.

Substitute Dean Ebbe rounded off the scoring from the edge of the area with a minute remaining to ensure the Bluebirds endured a miserable return to west Wales.
