AN ELLESMERE man has been able to celebrate a milestone birthday in style thanks to a Harley Davidson riding club.
Family and friends joined Tony Cooper for his 60th birthday as his sister Gillian organised a pillion ride on the back of a Harley Davidson with Region 29 Harley Davidson Riders Club of Great Britain as a special birthday treat.
The Harley-Davidson group raise money for Blood Bikes and for a donation happily agreed to the request.
A family member said: "Family and friends gathered to watch the spectacle as Tony and Gillian donned their motorcycle gear and headed off on a 40-mile round trip with 20 other bikes including a trike.
"Riding in convoy they passed through Overton, Bangor-on-Dee and Whitchurch.
"They took a pit-stop at the Raven Café at Prees roundabout before heading back to Ellesmere and the ride out was followed by a family BBQ which some of the riders attended.
"Photographs and videos were taken of the special day and David Wainwright, a member of the club, complied the ride to produce a YouTube video as a memento of the day."

The family raised £150 on the day for Blood Bikes, a charity very dear to the Harley-Davidson group.
