A POLICE investigation has been launched after a man was left with "serious injuries" following a suspected assault in Chirk.
North Wales Police's Wrexham Rural team said the incident occurred on Colliery Road just before midnight on Thursday (October 14).
A 46-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and a 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, police said.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the incident to call 101 quoting reference Z151237.
