WREXHAM Council has warned residents about suspicious calls purporting to be from its repair team.
The council's Housing Department has issued the warning after it was notified of the calls being made to tenants from a Glasgow telephone number (0141).
A spokesperson said This is NOT the case [that they are legitimate]. Please do not divulge any information.
"All calls from Wrexham Council repairs will come from a local telephone number (01978).
"If you are ever unsure of a caller, put the phone down and call them back on a number you are familiar with."
