RESIDENTS living in Llanwddyn and near to Lake Vyrnwy will be keeping their eyes peeled for camera crews next week as Sony production teams are set to film in the area.
Mystery surrounds an announcement by Powys County Council’s highways team for a temporary road closure for Monday, September 20 to allow filming to take place.
The temporary closure has been authorised to allow CP Filming Productions Ltd. to film near the Mid Wales beauty spot.
A temporary traffic notice was posted on Powys Highways’ Twitter, which said: “Powys County Council gives notice that from September 20, 2021 (7am to 7pm) a traffic order is prohibiting any vehicular traffic from proceeding a length of the C2088 Llanwddyn, Oswestry.
“The closure is on behalf of CP Filming Productions Ltd, while they do filming works.
“Residents access will be maintained, emergency vehicles access will be maintained and the alternative route will be signposted.”
The temporary closure will affect roads between Lake Vyrnwy and Bala between 7am and 7pm.
It is currently unclear what is being filmed in the area.
