SPORTS clubs in Oswestry are being urged to apply for a grant from a town forum.
The Oswestry Sports Forum has a deadline of Monday for the chance to apply for grants, which will be grated at a special meeting next month.
This round of grants is the first since three amounts of money were donated in July and a Forum spokesman urged people to get involved.
They said: "Don’t miss the chance to apply for an Oswestry Sports Forum grant.
"The closing date for application for an Oswestry Sports Forum grant is Monday, September 13.
"Applications are invited from clubs and individuals who live or train within 10 miles of Oswestry.
"The grants will be decided at a meeting on Thursday, October 7.
"In the last round in July, grants were awarded to Llanymynech Golf Club for equipment to develop their Juniors’ section; Ellesmere Cricket Club toward a bowling machine and Oswestry Rugby Club for bibs, balls and training equipment for their women and girls section.
"Oswestry Sports Forum is proud to be able to support sport for local young people in this way.
"Full details and an application form can be found on www.oswestrysportsforum.org.uk or by emailing Susie@oswestrygames.co.uk"
