A FAMILY-owned coach firm is set to take over several bus routes in and around Oswestry town centre.

Tanat Valley Coaches will be taking over the routes, previously operated by Arriva, from September 1.

After celebrating their centenary year during the pandemic, and sporting a stylish new deep blue livery, the firm will become a more familiar sight around the town.

Tanat Valley Coaches’ managing director Chris Chadd is excited to be taking over the routes in the town.

He said: “We’re looking forward to seeing more of the people of Oswestry and introducing them to our network.

“As a company we’ve been bringing people to and from the town for more than 100 years, and with our new routes we hope to offer people a viable alternative to using the car, in turn making Oswestry a nicer place for everyone, and doing our bit to help the planet.

“Customers can of course use this new service to connect them to other routes that Tanat Valley Coaches offer, taking them all over the region, and we look forward to welcoming everyone aboard.”

The routes navigate all over the town with stops near the major landmarks, supermarkets and attractions.

Further details about the routes and schedules can be found at their website www.tanat.co.uk

All of the Tanat Valley service buses are designed to be accessible for disabled people and wheelchair-users, meaning everyone is able to enjoy the convenience of the bus while they do their bit to help the environment.

During the pandemic, the company invested time and money in state-of-the-art new maintenance facilities for company vehicles, and is also now open to the public offering MOTs, servicing and repairs on a huge range of vehicles.

As well as repairs and MOTs, the company also now offers a wide range of new and used vehicles for sale or for lease.
