WELCOME to the latest edition of the camera club - a weekly celebration of all the things we love about living in our special part of the world.
It is hard to believe but summer is all but gone and we are well and truly in the throes of the end of the season.
It would be fair to say that this summer has been a much happier experience than the one we endured 12 months ago but it would be equally fair to claim the summer of 2021 would have been unimaginable in 2019.
So much has happened over the past two years it is sometimes difficult to take stock.
However many have managed to make the most of this year’s slow and gradual easing of restrictions by reclaiming some of their lost freedoms.
From embarking on further trips from home to perhaps enjoying a night out on the town.
Foreign holidays remain a minefield, both in booking and the expense of isolating and testing, and we appear to be some way off reclaiming that particular aspect of our lives.
However we must not despair.
For after all we are more fortunate than many.
While we are not so fortunate to all have gardens, we can at least live safe in the knowledge that a green pasture, babbling brook or calming lake are never far away.
If you are fortunate you may even see a rare bird or one of our other native agricultural favourites may stop to give you some company on your daily walk.
