The countdown is on to the return of the Shropshire Triathlon.
The popular event takes place on Sunday, September 5, 2021 and will be centred around The Mere and the Cremorne Gardens in Ellesmere.
It comes after the event took a break in 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The competition includes a swim in the lake, before athletes cycle and run around Ellesmere.
The distances vary with middle distance competitors swimming 2km, followed by a 78km cycle and 20km are run; those covering the Olympic distance swim 1.5km, cycle 39km and run 10km; while the sprint distance is a 750m swim, 25l cycle and 5km run.

And for those not wanting to compete on their own there is the opportunity to take part in a relay competition in which the stages are shared.
