A CELEBRITY chef is making another return to Oswestry next month.

Rick Stein will meet with fans to talk about his latest book Rick Stein at Home which will take place at the Holroyd Community Theatre at Moreton Hall School on September 23.

It is the first 'audience with' event hosted by Oswestry's independent book retailer Booka Bookshop since the coronavirus pandemic halted such events.

Tim and Carrie Morris, from Booka, said: "Join us on a culinary journey as much-loved chef and food writer Rick Stein talks about the joys and comforts of his home kitchen, brought together in his new book Rick Stein At Home.

"We are thrilled to welcome Rick back to Oswestry for this lunchtime event at the new Holroyd Community Theatre."

They added: "We're delighted to be making a long-awaited return to hosting 'live' in person events and can't wait to welcome a Booka favourite back to Oswestry!"

In his new book, Rick – who is famed for his work travelling the world and using foreign cuisine to inspire him – gives an insight into the rhythms and rituals of his home cooking and is her first book to celebrate his all-time favourite home-cooked meals.

The event will also give fans the chance to meet Rick and pick up a signed copy of his latest work.

Tickets for the event, which begins at 12.30pm, cost £10 redeemable against a signed copy, or £26 to include a signed copy, and are available from www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rick-stein-at-home-recipes-memories-stories-tickets-166143396371
