A WOMAN from Weston Rhyn who smashed a neighbours window during a row has been ordered to do unpaid work.

Jamiee Simpson, 30, appeared in Telford Magistrates Court on Friday, July 30, charged with criminal damage and using threatening language.

The charges relate to an incident on March 20, in Lime Grove, Oswestry.

The court heard how at around 10pm, the police were called to a flat after Simpson and her partner were banging and making threats to assault their neighbours, specifically Kristian Todorov and his partner.

Simpson hit the shed door of Mr Todorov, using a concrete coping stone and banged on the windows at the rear of the property, throwing stones and smashing the kitchen window.

During the incident Simpson was described as 'screaming and hysterical' and made threats, which the Todorov's took seriously.

Chairman of the bench, Christine Holmes imposed a community order on Simpson, but not a restraining order as the defendant no longer lived near the area.

She said: "For the use of threatening words and behaviour you will be given a 12-month community order and will do 18 hours of unpaid work."

Simpson was also ordered to pay £100 in court costs and a £95 victim surcharge.

"You must pay the minimum, you will be brought back to court if you don’t," added Ms Holmes.

"Please make sure you pay.

"For the offence of criminal damage, there will be no separate penalty.

"We've considered a restraining order and we do not feel it is necessary, you have no reason to return to the address

"We have considered compensation and feel it is not appropriate, both parties have gone their separate ways."
