A FLORIST based in Oswestry town centre is enjoying life in her new shop after moving premises.

But it’s only been a short journey for Tracey Austin, of Hobo Floral Design in Leg Street, after moving to a larger building across the Griffin Courtyard.

Tracey, who had been in her previous shop for 28 years, has been pleased with the smooth transition and with how the new shop looks.

“We’d been in the other shop for 28 years, and then the tailor, Mr Doman, retired last year before the pandemic, so we have moved into his old shop,” she said.

“We’ve been here a couple of months now and it has been great.

“The transition was fine – we began moving last September and got things moved gradually.”

After a year of working by herself due to Covid-19 restrictions, Tracey is glad to be welcoming customers through the doors at the new-look shop after breaking the news of her new base to her customers during lockdown at the start of the year.

She added: “I worked by myself last year because of the Covid-19 situation, so it was hard work but I kept open all the time.

“Because I’m on Facebook and quite active with the shop on there, most people knew we were moving so they know where to find us now.”

“It’s all been very positive which is lovely.”
