FIREFIGHTERS were called to an unattended bonfire at a quarry near Oswestry on Wednesday night.
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to Llanymynech Quarry at 9.39pm to reports of a fire in the open.
Two fire engines from Oswestry, including the incident support unit, attended the scene.
They spent around 40 minutes using knapsacks and buckets of water to extinguish the small unattended bonfire.
