A CHANCE to have your say on how Oswestry looks in the future is coming.

A series of in-person events are being held over the coming weeks to develop the Oswestry Masterplan.

Members of the Future Oswestry Group want to speak to residents, workers and visitors to reveal what they like, and what could be improved, about the town and what their aspirations are.

The group will have a stall on the market on Bailey Head on Wednesday, July 28; Friday, July 30 and Wednesday, September 1.

In addition, a stand will also be on Festival Square on Saturday, July 31 and Saturday, September 4.

Councillor Steve Charmley, chairman of the Future Oswestry Group, said: “We are really excited to be taking another step forward with the Oswestry Masterplan and this will be a great chance to actually get out there and talk face to face with the public about what they want.

“We want to hear your views on what you like and what you want to see happen differently. We are here to listen and will take all views on board.

“You can take a look at the documents, chat to myself and officers and leave your feedback.”

The mayor of Oswestry, councillor Mark Jones, added: “I’d encourage people to visit the stall and to give their feedback.

"Oswestry has a lot to offer but it’s also important to look to the future, please come along and have your say.”

Adele Nightingale, Oswestry Business Improvement District (BID) manager, commented: “The market stall is just another way for people to engage with the masterplan, find out about it and give their thoughts, feedback and ideas.

"This is about the future of Oswestry and we want as many people as possible to have an opportunity to contribute, so please come along and have your say."
