AN OSWESTRY car dealership have received a top award for a ninth year running.

Arthurs of Oswestry, which is based in Lower Brook Street and also has a base in Newtown, Powys, has been awarded the prestigious Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award 2021.

Nigel Williams, Arthurs managing director, said the company took great pride in being recognised by Vauxhall yet again.

“We are very proud to be one of only two Vauxhall retailers in the UK to have won the coveted Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award for nine years consecutively," he said.

"This is because we take customer satisfaction very seriously and we will always put customers at the forefront of what we do.

"The team at Arthurs work very hard to make customer satisfaction a priority and ensure that our customers receive the best possible service."

John Rogers, Arthurs Vauxhall sales manager, added: "After a difficult time over the last year, it’s wonderful to receive this recognition for our continued high standards in customer service.

“Our doors are very much open, and we hope that this award gives existing and future customers the confidence that they have quality Vauxhall sales and service centres on their doorstep.”

Both dealership – Oswestry and Newtown – received the award for outstanding customer service while in 2021, Vauxhall presented the award to only 38 retailers who have sales and service contracts, equating to the top 15 per cent of the UK network.

Within this, they only presented nine Gold Awards for winners of five or more years.

Mr Williams added: "Furthermore, since the Customer Excellence Award process was launched in 2012, Arthurs have won it nine times out of the 10 years – a truly excellent achievement."
