A Llanfyllin environmental group have welcomed the easing of lockdown restrictions with a number of community activities, they say.
Voluinteers from BRACE - short for Building Resilience Against Climate Emergency - are set to hold a Community Garden Open Day this Saturday, June 12, with visits to two sustainable land management projects next on the agenda.
The group meets every Tuesday and their community food growing project now has three sites around Llanfyllin – behind the Public Institute, at Y Dolydd and in Brook Street.
Next up on Saturday, June 19 members will visit Martin Peck’s organic hill farm in Hirnant followed by the new Tanat Valley Community Farm CIC for tea and a tour.
Pre booking is essential due to Covid-19 regulations and organisers say limited parking will be available.
"Brace organisers would like to urge anyone keen to join the community garden, Cae Bodfach Community Orchard or to help out with administration or other projects to sign up to the member mailing list," said a spokesperson.
"Membership is free and all are welcome to join. "
