Llanfyllin cycling ace Rebecca Richardson says it's been a "dream" for her, after taking a national title.
The Brother UK rider lived up to her billing as one of the pre-race favourite to take first place in the RTTC National Road Bike Circuit Championships at Naseby, Northamptonshire, which saw riders racing 32.5 miles on the lanes of the south-midlands county.
After the race Rebecca said things were "falling into place" for her as a result of a consistent training regime.
"Over the moon to have my first National title in the RTTC National Road Bike Circuit Championships riding for Brother UK," she said.
"It was a tough course, 33.5miles of a three lap circuit against a solid field of competitors.
"I trusted the process and my faith in my coach Liam Holohan, Holohan Coaching and Tony Brooks, Strength and conditioning coach. On the day I focused on pacing, nutrition and let the rest do itself!
The result came on the back of a busy few months for Richardson, who earlier this year set a new British record for the Roads Record Association at the Brecon Beacons circuit, completing the the 104 miles course in just over five hours.
She has also been the Welsh 12-hour time-trial champion, recording 212 miles on one of the hottest days of 2018.
"It’s been a dream to at some point in my career hold a National title, and I feel that after several years of consistent training things are falling into place," she added.
