FIRE chiefs have confirmed what caused a blaze at Kronospan on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Advertizer reported how six crews attended the site after North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call shortly after 6.30am.

A spokesman for the fire service has now confirmed that a build-up of materials in the chipboard press area extraction unit was the cause of the blaze.

An area of approximately 20 square metres was affected.

Nobody was injured in the incident, a spokesman said.
