THE outgoing mayor of Oswestry, Councillor Duncan Kerr, has paid tribute to the owners of a long-standing market business after their retirement.

Cllr Kerr visited Steve and Sue Watts at their Dogz Dinnerz store in Oswestry's Indoor Market last week to congratulate the pair on 11 years of trading but stepping down.

The mayor also met new owner Jacqui Cooper and wish her well for her future career.

He said: “ Steve and Sue had been a great asset to the market over the years always willing to help where they could, providing an excellent service throughout.

"Everyone looks forward to seeing Jacqui and her family develop the business further and I wish them the best of luck.”
