AN Ellesmere Port pub has confirmed its reopening date having been shut for five months.

The Travellers Rest in Little Sutton will welcome back customers on Friday, May 21.

As part of the latest easing of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, indoor hospitality can reopen from Monday (May 17).

In a message to its customers, the pub's Facebook page posted: "The Travs will be reopening on Friday 21st May at 2pm and we look forward to welcoming you all back, it’s been a long 5 months.

"Some Covid restrictions still remain in place. Indoors – sanitising, social distancing, masks to be worn when not seated, table service only, no standing or sitting at the bar, table of six etc.

"Outside – six at a table, or more if from two households, standing is permitted outside.

"On Saturday evening (May 22) we have some entertainment for you but remember social distancing and no dancing allowed.

"Until things get back to normal we are going to close all day on Mondays with the exception of Bank holidays. Once again we look forward to seeing you all on Friday.

"Opening and closing times may vary until we are back to normal. Ron, Gill & the team."
