WORKSHOPS and events to show residents the Oswestry Masterplan have been announced across May and June, organisers have said.

With delays because of the local elections at the start of the month, the Future Oswestry Group has published updates, including a corrected version of the Masterplan on the One Oswestry website.

A spokesman for Future Oswestry said that as restrictions continue to lift as the UK heads out of the pandemic, there will be more opportunities to have more face-to-face time around the projects.

They said: "There are plans to hold a static display of the Masterplan visions at Oswestry library (May 20-26) during normal Oswestry library opening hours.

"We hope this provides an opportunity to view and comment on some of the initial visions and action plans for some key locations in and around Oswestry.

"It is because of the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions that we have been able to put this in place.

"Therefore if you are planning on visiting the library, please could we stress the need to comply with the requirement to wear a mask and keep to social distancing requirements and adhere to any measures as required by the library staff.

"Following this event we would like to follow on with further face-to-face engagement and details of these plans will follow and will also be made available on the website."
