TWO people had to be rescue from a property in Whitchurch in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Shropshire firefighters from Whitchurch, Prees and Wem were called to a small house fire in Neufchatel Court, Whitchurch, shortly before 5am.
The fire involved a groundfloor fireplace, with two casualties having to be rescued by firefighters using breathing apparatus and a short extension ladder.
Fi9reifighters spent around 35 minutes at the scene.
