MORDA'S Hope House is hoping once more to be the recipient of a repeat challenge which took a locked down UK by storm in May, 2020.
The 5k challenge is back for 2021, and this year people are being encouraged to do it for Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices.
Bekki Fardoe, fundraiser, is hoping plenty of people can get involved in the challenge.
She said: “The 5k challenge was everywhere last year, and now you can choose to do your 5k – however you please – to help support seriously-ill local children and their families who use Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith.
“Sign up to our JustGiving Page and then when May comes around get nominating your friends and family to do the same.”

Started last year by Run For Heroes as a plan to raise £5,000 for NHS Charities at the start of the pandemic, the challenge went viral on social media where people would “Run 5, Donate 5 and Nominate 5” and eventually raised some £7 million.
Now organisers are opening the challenge so people can run for their local charities like Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith and has today launched the 5kMay campaign, and everyone is invited to take part.
A Hope House spokesman added: "As the name suggests, it’s all about getting fit and hitting that 5km target.
"It’s not just about running though – people can walk, roll, skip or even swim their five kilometres.
"You can take part on your own or as a group, donate your £5 to Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices and then nominate five friends or family members to complete their own 5km challenge.
"This year those that take part will also get a digital goodie-bag with discounts for well-known brands."
You can sign up for the 5kMay challenge at hopehouse.org.uk/5kmay
