A HANG glider who crash landed in Llansilin on Friday was treated for multiple injuries, ambulance staff have confirmed.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) was called to Maes Y Llan at 3.30pm after reports that the hang glider had crash landed in a nearby field.
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the incident and treated one patient who suffered multiple serious injuries.
A spokesman for WMAS said: “We were called to reports of a hang glider that had crash landed near to Maesyllan in Llansilin at 3.30pm on Friday.
“On arrival we discovered one male patient, who had suffered multiple serious injuries.
“He received specialist trauma care at the scene before being airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”
