Children in Chirk were among those to receive a free Easter egg on Sunday after more than 550 were collected in an appeal.
Organised by Lauren Parkinson, with the help of councillor Gareth Baines, the eggs were made available for children at Glyn Wylfa, in Castle Road.
Donations of some of the Easter eggs were also made to; Wrexham Maelor Hospital children’s ward, Chirk Court Care Home staff and residents, Gobowen Hospital, Hope House Children’s Hospice and Chirk Fire Station.
Lauren gave thanks to everyone who turned up on the day.
"It was fantastic," she said. "Lots of children from the community came to pick up an Easter egg and it was lovely to see them smile.
"We also had enough left over to donate to other various places which was more than we anticipated
"I’d like to thank everyone who donated and to Cllr Baines for his support with the appeal this year."
Lauren thanked everyone who donated to the appeal, including; Stanton House Chirk, Fistral ltd, Chirk tavern, SPAR, Stans Superstore, Morrison’s, Cabs are Here, Friends of Chirk Station, Millennium hair and individuals who donated.
Cllr Baines also thanked Glyn Wylfa for hosting the pick-up point for the Easter eggs.
