FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in the open caused by a barbecue on Wednesday.
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to a wooded area in Newton at around 3.50pm.
One fire engine from Ellesmere attended the incident and found a fire caused by a group having a barbecue.
The crew in attendance used knapsack to extinguish the fire, and spent around 40 minutes at the scene.
