A MAN has been arrested in connection with 'terrifying' burglaries on Anglesey.
A 32-year-old Anglesey man has been arrested in the probe into burglaries in Llangefni and Rhosneigr, police have said.
During the Rhosneigr incident, which took place on the evening of March 22, North Wales Police said an elderly woman was tied up by two men posing as police officers.
They are said to have subsequently made off with cash and a large metal safe.
D.I. Andy Gibson said: "We are still appealing for witnesses and urge members of the public to be vigilant in their local communities.
"We stress the need to keep all doors secure and ensure that you challenge any callers to your property who claim to be working for any specific companies or agencies.'
"We are fully committed to making North Wales a safe place to live, and we will relentlessly pursue those who cause the greatest threat to our local communities."
