THE New Saints FC have parted company with manager Scott Ruscoe and assistant Steve Evans.
It comes after yesterday's goalless draw at home to Bala Town, which left TNS top of the JD Cymru Premier by a point, but with rivals Connah's Quay Nomads having a game in hand.
The club had not played since December 19, when they beat Penybont 2-1.
Having won everything domestically and enjoying success in Europe during a long playing career with the Saints, Ruscoe also won the title as manager in 2018 and 2019, but was pipped to the post by the Nomads when last season was curtailed early due to the pandemic
A club spokesman said: "The New Saints Football Club have decided to part company with First Team Manager Scott Ruscoe and his Assistant Steve Evans with immediate effect.
"The Club would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Scott and Steve, who served the club well as manager and assistant manager respectively, as well as players for a number of years.
"The club’s Head of Coaching, Christian Seargeant, will take temporary charge of team affairs, as the club prepares the search for the next permanent manager, with the post being advertised in due course.
"The Club will be making no further statement at this time."
