THE events company which organises events in north Shropshire, including the Oswestry 10k, is hopeful it will see more of its events go ahead in 2021.

Adrenaline Sporting Events has announced a new array of running and biking events for the summer of 2021, and hopes the situation surrounding Covid-19 will allow them to go ahead later this year.

New events include a running festival at Brynkinalt, a ladies-only Pedal Pushers biking event and Valley Burner in Tanat Valley for keen bikers.

The Oswestry 10k run is still expected to take place in October, while the Welshpool 10k has been postponed until 2022.

Alan Lewis, of Adrenaline Sporting Events, is looking forward to welcoming people to enjoy getting involved with exercise again.

He said: “We are hopeful ahead of the summer and earmarked dates for these events to go ahead – we hope people are keen to get back out and take part in these things once restrictions allow.

“The partnerships we have around the training plans for some of the events are in place. We have some new routes and there is an emphasis on the charities we are supporting.

“We’re giving people market-leading experience at the events and giving them a friendly, professional and welcoming experience.

“We’re trying to offer something for everyone – we want it to be all about the community and inclusivity.

“People can go for a personal best time if they like and can take things a little more serious, but we want to focus on welcoming people.”

Also set to take place in the summer is Pedal The Borders and Midnight Ride, while a date is still to be decided for the children’s Nippers n’ Rippers ride.
