FIREFIGHTERS in Oswestry had a busy evening on Saturday, rescuing people and animals alike from predicaments.
At around 8pm, firefighters received a call reporting an incident classified as an Animal Rescue in Great Fernhill, Iron Mills.
The incident involved a puppy with its head and neck stuck in metal log basket.
One crew was dispatched who released the puppy from railings in the log basket using holmatro pedal cutters.
Advice was also given to the home owner and the crew left the scene around 45 minutes later.
Shortly after 10pm, firefighters received another callout to an address in Old Whttington Road in Gobowen.
This incident saw crews rescuing a person with their finger stuck in a wooden bed frame.
